Little Angels School Hosts Insightful Workshop on Cyber Safety and Security

On May 29, 2024, Little Angels School in Sonipat hosted a Capacity Building Program on the vital topic of "Cyber Safety and Security." This event was organized by the Centre of Excellence (COE), Panchkula, under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The program featured notable resource persons: Ms. Bhavana Chibber, Principal of Laburnum Public School, Gurugram and Mr. Sushil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Shyam Lal College, Delhi. The School Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal, Vice Principal; Ms. Geeta Arora and other esteemed dignitaries were present, along with numerous participating school teachers.

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome for the guests, who were presented with planters and the School’s magazine. Motivational song set an inspiring tone for the day. The primary objective of the program was to educate participants on how cyber security measures, both hardware and software, can protect data from theft, loss, or damage. The emphasis was on the importance of securing banking and financial data, especially in the era of internet banking, to prevent unauthorized access and potential financial losses.

The resource persons elaborated on the necessity of a robust cyber security framework for safe online transactions and overall internet usage. Attendees actively participated by asking questions, which were addressed satisfactorily by the experts.

Little Angels School periodically organizes such workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of their community. The program received widespread appreciation from all attendees. The School Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal expressed her gratitude to the guests and teachers, encouraging everyone to stay informed and vigilant about cyber security. The event concluded with refreshments, marking the end of a successful and enlightening session.
