Grand 80th Independence Day Celebrations at Little Angels School, Sonipat

On August 15, 2026, Little Angels School, Sonipat, celebrated its 80th Independence Day in a grand and dignified atmosphere, filled with profound patriotism, enthusiasm and national pride. Adorned in the vibrant colours of the tricolor, the school campus stood radiant with patriotic fervour, honouring the immortal sacrifices of freedom fighters. The esteemed gathering included Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal, Little Angels Inclusive School Principal; Ms. Sonia Arora, Vice Principal; Ms. Geeta Arora, Headmistress; Ms. Bharti Dutta along with distinguished guests, staff members and students.

The celebrations commenced with the soulful rendition of the national song, "Vande Mataram," followed by the unfurling of the national flag by Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal. As the tricolor fluttered proudly in the sky, the entire campus echoed with the national anthem. Attendees paid heartfelt homage to the brave heroes of the freedom struggle, remembering their indomitable courage and sacrifice.

The cultural programme featured engaging performances by the students. The school orchestra filled the atmosphere with powerful patriotic tunes, while the chorus song "Har Kadam Kadam Mujhe Naaz Hai Tera" deepened the sense of national pride. A moving patriotic poem presented by a Class 9th student resonated deeply with the audience, setting the stage for a mesmerising patriotic dance. Young students, dressed as freedom fighters, vividly brought the struggles of national heroes to life. Furthermore, an energetic gymnastics performance showcased a remarkable blend of discipline, balance and self-confidence, thrilling all spectators.

One of the event's most impressive highlights was a theatrical play that seamlessly connected the audience with the glorious past of the freedom struggle while offering a clear glimpse into India's modern technological advancements. This blend of history, present and future conveyed the meaningful message that freedom is both a fundamental right and a vital responsibility for nation-building.

In her address, Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal wished everyone a Happy Independence Day and emphasised that students should honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters by embracing their ideals and contributing to national progress. Vice Principal; Ms. Geeta Arora highlighted patriotism, harmony, equality and human values as the true foundation of freedom, inspiring students to become responsible and sensitive citizens.

Before the conclusion of the ceremony, everyone present took a solemn pledge to work diligently in the national interest and to uphold the unity, integrity and dignity of the country, followed by the distribution of prasad. Chairman; Sh. Tarsem Kumar Garg, Secretary; Dr. Vishal Garg, Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal and Vice Principal; Ms. Geeta Arora extended their warmest Independence Day greetings to the entire school community. The memorable event concluded with enthusiastic patriotic slogans and a final spirited rendition of the national anthem, successfully strengthening the core values of putting the nation first and the collective resolve to build a stronger country.
