To celebrate the importance of English Literature, the students of Little Angels School, Sonipat (Senior Wing) presented one the great romantic comedies of William Shakespeare, ‘Twelfth Night’ on 29 October 2022. The plot of this play revolves around resolving many hurdles to get true love. It has many elements: mistaken identity, illusion, disguises, madness and gender crossing.

The event was adorned by the presence of respected Principals, Heads of the Institutions, Teachers, Parents and students of various schools from Sonipat, Karnal and Ambala. The programme began with a warm floral welcome of the guests by the Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal and Vice Principal; Ms. Geeta Arora. The event got an auspicious touch with lighting of the pious lamp.

Latanya Manik of XI Ruby navigated the audience through the journey of English Plays staged so far by the senior and junior students of the school. She highlighted the themes and quotes of all the Twelve Plays performed by Angelians.

The School Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal delivered her welcome speech and highlighted all the important points such as the importance of theatre, poetry, folk art, literature, time management and team spirit. She mentioned that very few audiences have the taste for real Theatre and enjoy theatrical performances in its true essence.

The performance of the entire cast was excellent and left indelible impressions on the minds of the spectators. The budding artists left everyone dumbstruck by their phenomenal performances, appropriate intonation and expression. They performed the acts conscientiously and in an undisturbed flow in front of the audience. The choir and dance performances added beauty to the play and were like cherry on the cake. The beautiful presentation, narration, poetic articulation of outstanding Narrators – Sakshi Arora and Shivek Sharma stole the heart of the audience and received heartfelt compliments from the students and teachers of other schools too.

The whole event was concluded by enchanting Grand Finale and glamorous introduction of all who were associated with it. All the invited guests blessed the children for putting up a magnificent show and were happy to see the literary growth of the students. Invited parents and teachers beheld the whole show with amazement and left their indelible remarks for the same.

The Vice-Principal; Ms. Geeta Arora expressed her gratitude to the school Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal for her incessant guidance and support. She also thanked all the esteemed guests for sparing their valuable time, concerned departments for outstanding preparation, parents and students for their valuable contribution and support. The event ended with refreshments and happy memories.
