The 'REACH Training Programme' facilitated a significant cultural exchange on 16th April 2025, when Little Angels School, Sonipat, hosted a delegation of Bhutanese teachers. This visit served as a powerful catalyst for mutual cooperation and understanding between India and Bhutan.
The arrival of the esteemed Bhutanese educators was marked by a traditional Indian welcome, as they were draped with shawl. A sacred Havan ceremony in the Yagyashaala, with the participation of the school children, further underscored the cultural immersion. The programme formally began with the reverent worship of Saraswati Maa, followed by the auspicious application of tilak to all attendees.
A formal meeting provided a platform for interaction between the Guests and key School Administrators, including Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal, Principal of Little Angels Inclusive School; Ms. Sonia Arora and Vice Principal Ms. Geeta Arora along with other dignitaries. The atmosphere was enriched by a melodious welcome song, setting a tone of warmth and hospitality. Subsequently, the students presented a captivating dance performance, seamlessly blending the vibrant traditions of Bhutan, the dynamism of Western styles, the grace of classical forms, and the energy of Punjabi folk dance, earning enthusiastic appreciation from the visitors. A comprehensive PowerPoint presentation effectively showcased the diverse activities and achievements of the school.
The cultural immersion continued with a tour of the Little Angels Inclusive School, where the Bhutanese teachers were visibly impressed by the state-of-the-art infrastructure and comprehensive medical facilities. In a heartwarming gesture of creativity and gratitude, the special children of the school presented handmade candles to their guests. The interaction extended into the main school, where students engaged in lively question-and-answer sessions with the teachers, fostering insightful dialogues. These interactions proved deeply inspiring for the students, igniting their enthusiasm and broadening their perspectives. Such enriching programmes are integral to the school's commitment to the holistic development of its students.
Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal eloquently expressed her sincere appreciation to the Bhutanese delegation for their visit, emphasising the vital role of cultural exchange in nurturing strong relations and promoting a deeper understanding between the two nations. She underscored the enduring friendship between India and Bhutan, rooted in mutual respect and trust.
The memorable event concluded with a group photograph, capturing the spirit of camaraderie, followed by refreshments. This impactful cultural exchange not only strengthened the bonds of friendship but also inspired the students of Little Angels School to cultivate a profound appreciation for the richness and diversity of global cultures.
