A newly built Angels Sports Complex was ceremonially inaugurated by the Chief Guest Padam Shri, Padam Bhushan, Mary Com, Olympic Boxer, MP (Rajya Sabha) on 23rd November, 2019. The other esteemed guests who graced the occasion as the ‘Guests of Honour’ were: Major General G. D. Bhakshi, SM, VSM (Retd.) Padam Shri, Arjun Awardee, Sh. Prem Chand Degra, Mr. Universe, the School Alumnae Mr. Sumit Nagal, Winner of Jr. Wimbledon Championship 2015 (Doubles) and Khel Guru Sh. Surajmal Malik.

The School Chairman; Mr. Ashish Arya, Dr. Neha Arya and the School Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal welcomed the imminent guests with bouquets and sapling of indoor decorative plants.

First of all, Little Angels Sports Complex & Boxing Ring, Gym & Fitness Centre, Basket Ball Courts, Lawn Tennis Courts were inaugurated by Ms. Mary Kom, Mr. Prem Chand Degra, Sh. Surajmal Malik and Mr. Sumit Nagal respectively. Then all the dignitaries and members of the Management released balloons to mark the opening of Angels Sports Day.

The event began with the March Past which was performed by the budding sports stars. The school band and welcome song ‘Aaye Hai Aapka Sawagat Karne’, added beauty to the magnificent sports extravaganza. It was followed by the welcome address by the School Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal who enlightened the gathering on the importance of health and hygiene and highlighted the achievements of National and International Sports Stalwarts.

Various kinds of drills like – Yoga, Gymnastics, Hoopla, Zoomba, Butterfly and Dance performance by the Special Angels of Soniya Arya Memorial Inclusive School stole the show. The rally on Save Water and Save Environment on carts was treat to behold to the audience. The whole event was presented by Ms. Manisha & Ms. Gaytri beautifully.

Then the award ceremony took place in which the outstanding Scholars and Sports Stalwarts were felicitated cash prize and trophies by the esteemed Chief Guest; Ms. Mary Kom. The highlight of award ceremony is as:

The academic genius Apoorva Gulati was awarded with cash prize of Rs. One Lac for securing 3rd Rank in India in Classs X, CBSE Board Examination 2018-19. The cash prize of Rs. 51000/- was given away to the Lawn Tennis Team for winning the CBSE National Lawn Tennis Championship for the 9th time in a row.

The Chief Guest; Ms. Mary Kom praised the endeavours of the School for providing world class facilities to the young achievers. She also highlighted the necessity of sportsmanship in a world riddled with rat races for glory.

Guest of Honour Major General G. D. Bakshi, in his speech, praised the infrastructure and said that though he has visited many schools across India, he is yet to see a marvel in the schools as Little Angels School, Sonepat.

In the end the School Chairman; Mr. Ashish Arya thanked all the invited guests, parents and Little Angels Family members for their constant support and dedication and presented the token of love to the eminent guests for sparing their valuable time and making the event success. The event ended with the singing the National Anthem by the audience.
