Following its annual tradition, Little Angels School, Sonipat, organised a prestigious ceremony on 10 February 2026 to celebrate the formation of the new Junior Student Council. This step aims to develop leadership skills, discipline, responsibility, and a spirit of service among the students.
The ceremony was attended by Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal, Vice-Principal; Ms. Geeta Arora, Headmistress; Ms. Bharti Dutta and other distinguished guests. During the event, the outgoing council members formally handed over their roles by presenting the newly elected members with their caps, sashes, and badges.
For the Junior Student Council 2026-27, Reyansh Khokhar was appointed Junior Head Boy and Dhruvi as Junior Head Girl. Captains and Additional-Captains were also announced for the various houses. The responsibilities were assigned as follows: Anwit Dhawan (Captain) and Krishna Lal (Additional-Captain) for Lavanya House; Kavya (Captain) and Kavya Verma (Additional-Captain) for Aastha House; Nirvaan Krishna (Captain) and Enaya (Additional-Captain) for Samarthya House; Lavish Relan (Captain) and Rakshit (Additional-Captain) for Siddhant House; Aaradhya Phogat (Captain) and Yaksh (Additional-Captain) for Spardha House; and Ritvik (Captain) and Nitya (Additional-Captain) for Surbhi House. Additionally, Darsh Malik was appointed Sports Captain with Hiten as Additional Sports Captain.
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the flag and the school song. Following this, the outgoing council administered the oath to the new members, who pledged to uphold the school’s dignity & systems, maintain discipline, perform their duties with complete sincerity and lead by examples. In their speeches, the Junior Head Boy and Head Girl spoke about working with team spirit and providing exemplary leadership.
School Chairman; Shri Tarsem Kumar Garg and Secretary; Dr. Vishal Garg extended their heartiest congratulations to the selected students and wished them a bright future. Principal; Ms. Asha Goyal encouraged the youngsters to focus on time management, concentration on their goals, and strong willpower. Vice-Principal; Ms. Geeta Arora emphasised the importance of responsibility and ideal conduct, while Headmistress; Ms. Bharti Dutta inspired the children to adopt qualities such as courage, hard work and honesty.
The ceremony concluded with the felicitation of the newly formed Student Council and best wishes for the successful fulfilment of their new roles.
