The players of Little Angels Boxing Academy, Sonipat, have brought glory to the School and the State by securing prestigious medals at the All India University Women Boxing Championship. The championship was hosted at Guru Kashi University, Bathinda, Punjab from December 18 to December 24, 2024.

Kirti clinched the Gold medal in the fiercely contested 54 kg weight category. Her journey to the podium was marked by a series of flawless victories. She dominated her opponents, including Ais Prajapati (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University), Riya (Delhi University), Suman Kumari (Manipur University), Swapna (Karmaveer Bhairav Patil University), and Ruchika (Chaudhary Bansi Lal University), all with a score of 5-0.

In the Semi-finals, Kirti defeated Sunita of Maharaja Ganga Singh University with another decisive 5-0 score. She concluded her campaign with a thrilling 3-2 victory against Harmeet Kaur of Guru Kashi University, earning her the well-deserved Gold medal.

Vishu Rathi also exhibited remarkable skill and resilience in the 57 kg weight category, securing the Bronze medal. She defeated opponents like Komal (Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri University) and Pinky (M.M.A.U.R. University) with commanding 5-0 scores. Her tenacity continued as she overcame Nikita (Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak) and Vidhi (Guru Jambheshwar University) before achieving a hard-fought 4-1 victory against Priya (CUMC University).

The championship witnessed participation from over 1,300 women boxers representing universities across India, making the competition highly challenging. Coach Rohtas Kumar expressed immense pride in the achievements of Kirti and Vishu Rathi, acknowledging their rigorous training and dedication.

The School’s Chairman; Shri Tarsem Kumar Garg, Secretary; Dr. Vishal Garg, and Principal Ms. Asha Goyal, congratulated the medalists and extended their best wishes for the upcoming tournaments, lauding their efforts for bringing laurels to the School.
