Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Angelians celebrated Hindi Diwas online, with informative sessions on the Importance of Hindi language. On account of ‘Hindi Diwas’, officially celebrated on the 14^th of September, a digital event was organized by the Hindi Department of the Institution. The students sung songs on ‘Hindi Bhasha’ followed by a few lines on the importance of ‘Hindi’ as a language and mother tongue in general. Plethora of other activities ranging from poetry recitation to slogan writing, Hasya Kavi Sammelan and card making were conducted digitally. Students were particularly enthusiastic about recitation while putting on the masks of their favourite famous classic Hindi poets. A scintillating excitement begins to charge the students during the online celebration when the students in brilliant costumes regaled the online audience.

The school educators shed light on the history and significance of Hindi language. It was highlighted that September 14 is the day of adoption which coincides with Beohar Rajendra Simha’s birthday. This is why Hindi Diwas is celebrated on this day every year since 1953. They put in all efforts to infuse the feeling of respect for their mother tongue which is the fourth most spoken language in the world.

The School Chairman Mr Ashish Arya and Director, Dr Neha Arya congratulated everyone on the occasion of ‘Hindi Diwas’ and appreciated the fervent participation of the students online. At the same time, the Principal Ms Asha Goyal exhorted parents to stay vigilant in this time of crisis and extended gratitude to all parents for making online celebrations successful. Parents also showed a lot of interest and extended their cooperation by sending photos of their wards participating in multiple activities.

Hindi is the voice of millions. It is the language that binds us together. Hindi is not merely a language or an expression, it is our identity, our pride! It unites us together and Angelians totally embrace it!
